Collect Signatures for the PROTECT EDUCATION ACT Initiative

This year Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) voucher program is on track to spend more than $1,000,000,000 in your taxpayer dollars — with no accountability or transparency.

We can protect students and stop fraud by passing the Protect Education Act in November 2026.

But first we must get the initiative on the ballot. More than 255,000 signatures must be collected by July 2, 2026 for this initiative to qualify for the November 2026 ballot.

ProtectEdAZ, Pima County Democratic Party (PCDP) and LD18 Democrats (LD18) can help you!

You can help by becoming a Protect Education Act petition circulator. You can pick up blank petitions at PCDP or at various hubs around LD18 (information below). All petition circulators must affirm that they have taken circulator training before they will be given petitions. ProtectEdAZ has created a clear and concise training video that is available to all volunteers as part of the petition “check-out” process. Pima County Democratic Party Headquarters is the key hub in the Pima region for picking up, notarizing, and dropping off petitions.

LD18 will also help petition circulators.

  They can connect you with LD18 volunteers throughout the district who serve as hubs where you can pick up or drop off notarized petitions and/or get petitions notarized.
