What Does a PC Do?

  • Build relationships and organize Democrats in their neighborhood
  • Register new voters that move into their neighborhood
  • Communicate the principles and platform of the Democratic Party
  • Listen to voter’s concerns and communicate those concerns to the Democratic Party leadership
  • Support Democratic candidates and officeholders representing their neighborhood

If you are interested in becoming an “appointed” precinct committeeperson (PC) for LD18, complete the form below and follow the submission instructions.
Your application is reviewed by several different agencies as detailed below. Your PC appointment is not official until the Board of Supervisors (BOS) has
approved your appointment. The term of service for an “appointed” PC automatically expires on September 30 of the first even-numbered year
following your official appointment date.


In Pima County, the application process is explained below.

  1. Applicant MUST be a registered Democrat in Pima County.
  2. Applicant must fill out, sign and date the form linked below. You can now fill it out on your computer and then print it to sign it.
    Note: The same form is used for PC appointments and resignations.
  3. Applicant sends the completed form as an email attachment (preferred) or in USPS mail to LD18’s Corresponding Secretary.

  1. The form is sent by the LD to the PCDP chair for approval.
  2. PCDP will send the form to the Elections Department for approval.
  3. Elections will add the applicant’s name to the Pima County Board of Supervisors (BOS) meeting agenda for BOS approval.
  4. You will be contacted when your appointment application has received BOS approval.
