In case you missed the news, I have qualified to make the ballot in large part due to the hard work of Democrats like you across the state! Clara Pratte and I are the only two Democrats to qualify and there are two seats up for election this cycle. I’m proud to be back on the ballot this cycle and am ready for the fight ahead.
Over the coming months we’re going to get to work ensuring we mobilize Democrats, as well as working on independents and persuadable Republicans, for this upcoming November general election. An uncontested primary is not a time to sit back and rest, it’s a window of opportunity. Looking over at the Republican primary, it’s very clear that the stakes simply couldn’t be higher. On one hand are the incumbents who are openly voting to roll back practical clean energy policies, rubber stamping rate increases, and rolling out the red carpet for data centers. Their primary challengers are potentially worse. Both are far right legislators. We have to stop them. I don’t come from a political background – I have dedicated my life to engineering and geology. I am uniquely equipped to ask the tough questions of our utilities as they continue to ask for more and more from utility customers across Arizona, and I have the expertise needed to read through proposals that ask to use our precious groundwater.
