Why vote by Mail?
The Number One reason to vote by mail is CONVENIENCE. Voters on the PEVL (Permanent Early Voting List), will automatically receive a ballot in the mail about a month before the election deadline. They can fill it out at their convenience, taking time to learn about the candidates and to understand the ballot propositions, and return it postage free.
Other reasons to vote by mail include showing up at the wrong polling location, not having the proper ID or waiting on long lines at the polls.
Why Vote Early?
No one can be sure that something won’t go wrong on Election Day, preventing them from getting to the polls: car trouble, childcare or pet issues, health problems, a business trip, flat tires, unexpected overtime etc. Don’t chance it! Vote early by mail!
Some people get pleasure out of going to the polls and resist giving up the experience of exercising one’s civic duty in person. For some, voting by mail doesn’t offer that feeling. In that case, encourage the voter to drive to one of the numerous early-voting locations throughout the county before Election Day. Don’t chance it! Vote early at the poll!
