The St. Patrick’s Day LD9-LD10 fundraiser was the best ever! I couldn’t believe we could comfortably accommodate 200 people at our home, and even more importantly, feed them delicious food and quench their thirst with tasty beverages. Everything ran so smoothly, and I am enormously grateful to everyone who helped by coordinating food and supplies, cooked mounds of corned beef, cabbage and side dishes, and baked delicious dozens of cookies and brownies.
Other than a box of salad greens, a few cans of beer and soda and half a bottle of Irish whiskey, guests gobbled up everything!
Even more important, the clean-up was superb! Thanks to everyone who left my backyard, living room and kitchen in sparkling clean condition. And whoever had the good idea to have each candidate fill out a card for the introductions deserves a special note; we should do that at future events.
Thank you to all the volunteers who participated. I’m grateful to all for pulling off such a wonderful event.
