Udall Territory hosted a LD18 Udall Park Meet ‘N Greet on April 22. The morning social event was enjoyed by approximately 55 Dems who came from across the LD. The park setting was perfect for seeing old friends, meeting new Democratic neighbors and talking with elected officials and new candidates.
Tucson City Ward 2 Councilman Paul Cunningham, and Ward 4 Councilwoman Nikki Lee answered any and all questions about current topics in the city. LD18 State Representative Nancy Gutierrez brought us all up to date on the activity at the State House. Attendees were eager to talk with former State Senator Kirsten Engel, who recently announced her run for US Congress for Arizona CD6.
Petitions for Justice for All were available for signing.
There was plenty of coffee, juice and breakfast snacks as local Democrats chatted about the “blue” future of our area. Fitting for Earth Day – the weather cooperated completely. We hope to see many of our new friends at our monthly Udall Territory and LD18 meetings.
