JP Martin was elected as the LD9 representative on the Pima Democratic Party Executive Committee. The vote was made by precinct committee people present at the LD9 monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 28.
In his self introduction, Martin said he will bring diversity to the Executive Committee. He said he is Mexican and speaks Spanish fluently.
JP Martin ran for election to the Arizona House of Representatives to represent District 9, but lost to Pamela Powers Hannley in the Democratic primary on August 28, 2018. He was Campaign Manager for James Woods for Congress in 2014, and was Campaign Manager of Re-Elect Barbara LaWall for County Attorney in 2016.
He has been Executive Director of the Global Chamber Tucson since 2017.
