LD9 asked Precinct Committee Person Larry Bodine to put together an interview show to highlight the good works of volunteers and precinct committee people to get out the vote. We’re calling it Larry Bodine LIVE! on LBTV and this is the first episode.
One of his favorite memories is when he first got active in local politics back in 2006 in Illinois. He was hosting house parties for an unknown woman running for Congress for the first time. He invited lots of neighbors and supporters over, introduced her to voters and helped raise funds for her. That woman was Tammy Duckworth, and she’s now a US Senator.
The point is that when you get active in a campaign, you really do make a difference. Larry wants to talk to people of all ages to find out:
- What is your current project?
- How did you first get active in local politics?
- What do you like about campaigning?
So he may be calling YOU. Everybody has talents they can use for a higher purpose, and Larry wants to find out what you are doing. He’ll conduct an interview over Zoom and we’ll post it online on the LD9 YouTube channel at http://bit.ly/LD9DemsVideo.
Larry has been interviewing people since he was a cub reporter at the New York Daily News. He loves talking to people and discovering what they’re doing to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
