Protest Elon and Trump at Tesla Dealership
March 15 @ 9:30 am – 11:00 am

Where: The four corners of Oracle and River roads near the Tesla dealership. When you arrive, join a corner with fewer protesters; we want the corners to have a relatively equal number of protesters.
When: Saturday, March 15, 9:30 am – 11:00 am.
Parking:
• Park at the Red Lobster (leave plenty of spaces near their entrance; they open at 11 am)
• The west parking area at First Watch (please do not park in front of their entrance; they open at 7 am)
• Across the street from First Watch at Fiesta Lanes (a big blue building; they are renovating the bowling site, but there is plenty of parking).
• The last space to use is a dirt lot east of Denny’s.
Who: Concerned Americans who live in Tucson, be they Republicans, Democrats, or Independents, young and old, of all colors and persuasions. The event is not sponsored nor organized by any local, state, or national group; it is just a couple married for 55 years.
Why: The Trump administration is threatening our democracy, and through our actions, we must protect it.
YOUR ROLE: Join us, and please spread the word among your group members, friends and relatives. If you are hungry and want to meet after the protest to connect, meet in front of Red Lobster and/or First Watch. Should you dine, tell them you are from the protest and we are giving them business in our appreciation of using their parking lots. Following the protest, we might go to a nearby park to write postcards to Trump to be mailed on March 15 as a nationwide action.
Background: This will be the fifth protest in front of Tesla; we hope it will be the largest. Our record to date is 1,320 people. We will have a drone recording the event and expect media coverage.
Safety: We will have Vets for Peace and Peacemakers at every corner to accompany people crossing the streets. Be particularly watchful of drivers making a right turn. The Tucson Police will be informed. One or two medics will be in attendance. Take pictures of vehicles or people who are in any way threatening and let Phin know. Please do not engage MAGA types (e.g., yell or give the finger back). Except for crossing, stay off the streets and stay on the sidewalks. Do note that all of our rallies thus far have been joyful, with great honking support from drivers, and safe.
