Volunteer and new Precinct Chairperson Mary Evangeliste of Precinct 75 is taking her voter registration to a national level. She is teaching the first Civic Literacy Course through the San Jose State University iSchool in January 2020.
This class will take students through a process of assessing their own civic literacy and finding ways to make their voices heard in local, state and federal elections. It will culminate in students creating their own information tool (flyer, postcard, poster, video, etc) that can be shared with their local communities to increase civic literacy.
This is taught through the open classes and can be attended by anyone with a BA. Open until January 3, 2020
