Wherever we are, we are all watching California closely to see whether there is a sign of relief on the horizon. It looks like GOP redistricting plans in Texas will go the Trumpists’ way.
Two more protests are coming up in front of Rep. Ciscomani’s office:
One is happening next Thursday, August 28th at 9:00am, focused on environmental accountability, organized by Climate Action Campaign & Elders for Climate Action. More details are here.
There will also be a protest outside Rep. Ciscomani’s office on Tuesday, September 2nd at 8:30am. His birthday is August 31, so birthday cards will be available to sign and communicate your concerns. More information is on the Mobilize link. This event is being organized by Honest AZ, Care in Action, Healthcare Rising, and others. Signs, snacks and water will be available – and if we’re lucky, some live entertainment!
Please share this information and the links above! As always, make sure to take precautions to stay safe in the sun and the heat.
If you are interested in learning more about plans for tabling in LD18 starting later this fall, please email me at carolevans831@gmail.com. All are welcome to table with us! We are a full-service program: all materials, supplies, training, and support will be provided! We’ll be talking about it at the upcoming LD18Dems monthly meeting on August 26th – register to attend the meeting here.
