“The 2020 election in Arizona was conducted fairly and accurately by elections officials,” Attorney General Kris Mayes said.

The State Bar of Arizona confirmed there are 18 complaints as of February 28 filed against the former attorney general. The complaints, called “charges” by the bar, come after current state AG Kris Mayes released documents proving that Brnovich suppressed his investigation into the 2020 general election, stating there was no widespread fraud or evidence of wrongdoing.

The Arizona Supreme Court has the power to disbar Brnovich as an attorney. Both Governor Katie Hobbs and Secretary of State Adrian Fontes said Brnovich should lose his law license for lying to the public.

In a taxpayer-funded investigation, 60 agents and staff under Brnovich spent 10,000 hours looking at any possible irregularities and voter fraud but didn’t find any.

“The results of this exhaustive and extensive investigation show what we have suspected for over two years — the 2020 election in Arizona was conducted fairly and accurately by elections officials,” Attorney General Kris Mayes said in a statement. “The 10,000-plus hours spent diligently investigating every conspiracy theory under the sun distracted this office from its core mission of protecting the people of Arizona from real crime and fraud.”
